4 days-LAST Friday of the Year & The TALENT SHOW!

Today was our LAST Friday of the school year! To help celebrate we had a picnic lunch outside today (our reward from our balloon!)! We also had our First Grade Talent Show! Thank you to all who could attend and to all of our performers! :)

5 days!

5 days of school left and we had our CHALK DRAWING CONTEST today! Inside our balloon was the reward of a chalk drawing contest! (Which quickly turned into a little extra time on the playground as well!)  Here are some of the artists at work! Enjoy!

I can't believe there are only 6 more days left together as a first grade class! We had WONDERFUL, breezy, weather today for our awesome reward featured below. 

After watching the airplane creations, I think we have some future engineers in Room 9! 

Countdown to Summer- 7 DAYS!

7 SUNNY days left until our firsties are moving on up to second grade! Check out our reward for today below! THANK YOU so much to our parent volunteers who helped make this day possible by donating the bubble gum!

Fourth Grade Buddies

After all of our hard work creating our own renditions of The Three Little Pigs, it was time to publish these wonderful stories! We teamed up with our fourth grade buddies to type the stories and had a publishing party after to celebrate each child's unique story! Have your first grader read their wonderful, silly, story to you!

9 days until Summer!

To help count down the days until summer and to celebrate all the wonderful learning that has happened this year, we are a having a "balloon countdown!" There is 1 balloon designated for each day we have left of school. Inside each balloon is a small class reward. We will "POP" a balloon at morning meeting to see what surprise is in store for the day! Stay tuned and check the blog each day to see all the fun happening as we gear up for summer and second grade!

Baby Animals at Mala Strana!

The residents at Mala Strana invited the first grade class over to visit and pet a few baby animals! The first graders were so intrigued by the baby animals and wanted to spend our entire afternoon with them! Thank you Mala Strana!

ACES in the Sun!

On Friday we had our annual ACES in the Sun! Although the sun wasn't shining too brightly and the weather was a bit colder than usual, it didn't keep the firsties down!
