WOW! The firsties have been working SO hard during our Language Arts block! We have now learned about Read to Self, Work on Writing (WOW time), Read to Someone, and have incorporated listening/word work with the iPads! The first graders have used their brain power to build enough STAMINA to complete these activities for 20 minutes independently. While the students are working independently I am then able to meet with small groups for guided reading! The students absolutely love this time and it is so motivating for them to have choice in their learning. Here are some pictures of the students during our Daily Five time!
